Report of Ninth Kerala Government Pay Commission is expected in November 2010

Ninth Pay commission constituted to revise salaries of Kerala State Government employees is expected to submit their report in November, 2010

Government of Kerala is planning to revise the wages of its employees, from April 2011 and also asked for the report on the pay revisions in universities, high court and water authority etc.

Government of Kerala has already approved a hike in salaries of teachers under University Grant Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Doctors. So there is a gap in salaries between the other government employees and these sectors. There is a demand exists for the same salary of Central Government employees.

The allotted time for the report of Ninth Pay Commission is December, 2010. But the Commission completed all the formalities and expected to submit the report in November, 2010 itself. It may take around three months to finalize the proceedings of pay hike. And the decision should be approved by the cabinet and the pay revision may be included in the budget 2010-11

The Ninth pay revision may give a relief to Kerala Government Employees from the steep hike in essential commodities and elevating cost of living.
